Cassette deck - no noise in passenger speaker

Hey guys!

A few months ago I noticed an issue where my cassette aux plays in all speakers beside the passenger one in the door. I've bought another one and same issue. When listening to CDs and the radio it's just fine. Only when using the cassette deck do I run into the issue.

Unsure of anyone here has experienced that before and found a fix. Tried searching and it seems like a fairly unique issue. I'll be taking off the center console in the spring to replace some button LED's so hoping if it's a wire thing I can just do it then. Any insight or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Symptom sounds like a tape head misalignment.

Correct, it only seems to be the front passenger door speaker that the sound isn't coming through.

To fix, would that require a new tape deck unit?

If the rear passenger speaker is working it isn't a head alignment issue.

Didnt you say that you bought another one and same issue? Or are you talking about using a cassette adapter? If so just get a legit way to play your music
