I have a 2005 mt and was driving to work yesterday we had heavy rains here in Hawaii so have way to work I was caught in a flood water up to the license plate I push through cause I could not turn around. I made it but as I got to the parking lot at work the car started to sputter I parked in a spot waited 5 minutes restarted it. It started fine moved fine I parked it again. About 8 hrs later I went to go home and the car would not go into gear. If the car was off it would move in and out of gear when I turned the car on no go. I slammed it in reverse and has worked fine since. Does anyone have an idea why this would happen or should I worry about this? Any help plz

 

The clutch probably got soaked & was not releasing, that would not let you put it into gear while engine was running. You need to have it inspected up on a rack & drain transmission/replace transmission oil.
