Car vibrates at 50mph

So I bought an 07 TL last week with 40k miles and got an extended warranty. I test drove it but not on a highway. When I was driving to work the next day I noticed that the car vibratest when going 55mph and over. So I took it in for service to a local dealer and they said they will not cover it because the issue is that two rims are bent.

So I called the dealer that I purchased it from and they said the car has passed the inspection so there is nothing that they can do anymore and it will not be covered by a warranty. The rims alone will cost me around $500 for two plus labor. Any of you guys know what I can do in this situation? (besides dishing out $500)?

Sounds like to me.. there have been a few TL-S members to complain of a driveline vibration in 5th gear ~50 mph. Does the vibration occur at speeds higher than 60 or rpms higher than 2.7k?

Definitely don't pay for new wheels. If you do have bent rims then they should pay for them not you. Talk to the regional manager if the service manager doesn't budge.

The I hit a pothole last week and bent my rim. Amazing since I did not blow a tire. I got the rim fixed. I took it to the tire dealer where I bought my Toyo Versados and they sent it out, took the day. Hats off to Toyo, the tire was fine. Car now rides fine. A bent rim will vibrate at any speed. Didn't you test drive the car over 50MPH? If the car was certified by Acura, you have legitimate complaint. There are plenty of posts on getting rims fixed. Mine cost $139 with the remount and balance.
