Recently my 2007 tl-s with 130000km has been acting up the car usually has always started normally but up until now it has only started in neutral and on the od day starts normally in park. I have checked the following battery, starter, grounds, and fuses all checked out okay. I've read on various threads on this forum thats it could be caused by the neutral safety switch or possible the cable slack in the shifter but if the neutral saftey switch is bad wouldnt it cause it to never start in park and not just randomly start while its in the park. Any advice or troubleshooting things i can try would be great. Thanks

As far as I know, the neutral safety switch is the only connection to the starter from the shifter. A completely failed switch wouldn't explain the symptoms, but a failing one could easily. That would be the first thing I would be looking at replacing.
