Hello. Owner of a 2007 TL Type S, auto, no mods. Alternator and battery replaced w/in the last two years.

When I went to start my car this morning, I wasn't greeted with the normal lights and beeping (dead battery suspected). Popped the hood and attach my portable jump pack. Turned the key and while the engine turned over, it immediately died. I tried this a few times and hoped it would not only turnover but stay on.

HFL was not disconnected by previous owner so I am thinking that might have drained the batter, but it wouldn't cause the current issue where it turns over/shuts off.

Any insights?

Did the car actually run for a few seconds before it died or did it never run at all?

 

could be a fueling issue; is there gas in the car?
