My car is struggling to start

my 2008 Acura TL 106k miles is struggling to start I thought it was the battery because the lights flicker while it's starting but the battery tested good I recently diyed my spark plugs so my next step is to recheck them. And after the car has started it runs fine no check engine light any input from anyone would be appreciated video:

i'd either try and put the battery on a trickle charger to see if it truly is good or it's the starter.

flickering lights seems pretty indicative of a bad battery or a low charge. You may also have a parasitic draw that's draining your battery. Pretty common issue on this car, do a search

Would you look at that.. your other thread is the HFL

charge your battery if you really removed HFL already.

Yes my hfl is completely removed from the car sitting in my room so I will go ahead and throw it on the trickle charger and see if that solves it

That's what my 05 TL 6MT 144K sounded like. Tested the battery (less than a year old) and it was found to need replacement (under warranty so got a new one free)....but the starting issue was still there. Ended up being the starter and had my shop put a new OEM one in...sounds like a new car starting now.

The one part that's usually overlooked in these type threads is the + battery cable. At this age, it may be internally corroded to the point of barely being able to conduct enough power to start the car, even with a new battery. I had to replace mine last year when I had starting problems.

Agree. Mine had some corrosion so I just cleaned it with baking soda/water solution and a wire brush. It wasn't corroded enough to need full replacement but I have a new connector just in case.

Are you certain? Cleaning the battery post and connector may not be enough. That corrosion could be internal where you can't see it.

In this case yes...I removed the battery and checked the cable myself...and all was good. Agree though that in some other cases, there could be corrosion unseen. Thanks for pointing that out so other readers can consider.

I read your post too quickly...you were mentioning the whole cable. When I replied I was thinking of just the connector from my experience..
