car starting weird
hey i dont know if anybody can tell me what this problem is. last night i accidently try to start the car while the car was on, then the next morning
i had a problem starting it when i turn the key it turns for a good 7 to 8 seconds then the car would start but would still have to give it some gas.

I'd say check the battery normally since the acura batteries suck, but if you held the key long enough to while trying to start the car while it was on, you could have damaged the starter motor. See if it continues to happen, if yes take it to the dealer and they'll diagnose it for you.

You can pick up a starter at any national auto parts store for around $200 if you bring in the old one plus they're usually lifetime warrantied. Easy DIY, just something to consider if you're out of warranty and the shop wants to charge you >$500.

sounds like you might have damaged the starter. I don't think it's your battery because if it was under a low voltage condition it would click and not engage the starter all together, but that's not the case. The tl is fuel injected not carburated so giving it gas doesn't do anything. If it doesn't turn over in the first 1-2 seconds, stop and try again.
