Car Shaking

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 Acura Tl with about 60,000 miles on it. I took the car out this morning to go to work and it was fine, but after work when i turned on the car the check engine light came on and the car started to shake. I took it to a local autoshop and they said it could be the EGR valve, they didnt know how to fix the problem though. I called Acura and they said EGR valve is most likely not the problem, but they will charge be $100 dollars just for them to check the car out. Has anyone experienced this problem or know what the problem is?

Thanks for the help...

with addition to the above information, the car has a hard time starting. I have to hold the accelerator down for a while then the car will start. It will shake when in park and when traveling under speeds of 20mph, but when accelerating the car will not shake....

Thanks again

Have the local Auto Zone, or parts store read the code(s) to see what is stored and go from there.
Could be many items that can casue the shaking problem eg vacuum line.

Manual or Auto? The Auto's have a known vibration issue thats resolved in a TSB.

Hey guys, got the car back and the issue was that there was a carbon build up in the intake. Carbon is a bi-product of gas, and after a while it was built up in the intake. They said after 45,000 miles to get it cleaned out, which i didnt know.

P.S: The TSX was pretty nice though, but I like the TL better.
