Car in reverse; sidemirror auto adjustment

Figured I would get started on meeting my 5 posts. I'm just joining the community for the first time and have a question on a newly acquired 2008 TL-S.

Out of curiousity, when you shift the car in to reverse when parked, and the side-mirror will adjust for better visibility, is it correct that only the passenger mirror auto-adjusts itself? I notice it's the only mirror to move. I don't hear anything from the driver side (as in it's not struggling or jammed or having some type of issue w/ the motor).

Is this just normal operation, or should the driver side adjust as well?

Thank you in advance for your help.

No-- the switch above the mirror adjuster sets either mirror, or neither, to rotate down when the car is put in reverse gear.
Either left or right mirror can be set to rotate down, but not both; it's described in the "Features" section of the owner's manual, IIRC.

If you didn't get manuals with the TL, you can also access the various owner's and navigation manuals on-line here: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/j-020-3g-acura-tl-owners-manual-navi-manual-warranty-booklet-pdfs-851625/.

Welcome to AZ.

Thank you for the information. I'll try to get some pics up and introduce myself a little better soon.

Can you adjust the position to where you want your mirrors to move to when you put in reverse?
