Exclamation Car overheats when a/c is turned on

my car works perfect in the summer but as soon as I turn on the a/c it starts to over heat but then when I go and turn off the a/c the temp drops back to normal in like a minute. Any ideas of what it could be?? Lmk -__-

Check your coolant level when the car is cold.
1) Remove the radiator cap and make sure that coolant fills the neck of the radiator, then replace and tighten the cap.
2) Check the overflow coolant reservoir-- make sure that coolant is above the minimum line.

(Note: If you've had any motor or heater work done, the system needs to be burped to remove excess air, which otherwise can cause overheating, so let us know of any work done before this problem started.)

If the coolant level is fine, check the engine cooling fan operation-- make sure the fan switches work...

yes, to do this pop the hood and turn on the A/C. both fans should turn on.
