Car making noise after carwash
Hey I have a2005 acura tl and recently took it to a car wash... after the car wash I noticed a screeching noise to me it sounds like it's coming from the wheel so this is how the wash went it was the kind where you wash it your self on a timed machine, it had 4 modes the first was a degreaser that you spray on your rims and clean them with a brush second was the foamy soap spray that your spray all over your car them the third was a brush that you clean your car with as foam comes out last was the rinse.. I have brand new brake pads and roaters on them that I replaced about a week ago... what I think happen is the degreaser for the rims whipped off the lube/grease from the wheel bearing or the ball joint or whatever makes the wheel turn and rotate when accelerate shold i buy lubercating spray and spray all the wheel component's that move?? . I only hear it on low speeds when coming from stop to about 5-10mph after that it goes away it's not every time I drive usually when I bairly turn it on and take off.. what could it be???
I would have someone drive your car slowly and come to a complete stop while you run aside the car to figure out where the noise is coming from.
I'm more shocked you took your car to a carwash.
