Car is at the dealer for 1 week

I dropped my '05 TL 6MT off yesterday at NorthEast Acura in Latham,NY in order to fix my rattles, 3rd gear problem, drivers seat cover, and squeeky brakes. The car had been up there 4 times and none of the problems have been fixed so I gave them 1 week to fix all of the problems. I have already spoken with the regional manager and I told him that if the problems are not fixed I want the car replaced or the lease terminated. He gave me the bs line of "I'll see what i can do"
The dealer gave me an '04 TL automatic for the week...As soon as i got in the car I about tossed my cookies, the car was filthy inside and out, and it smelled like cigarette smoke. Instead of bitching to the dealer I just drove it home and took pictures then cleaned it for about 2 hours.
Driving home was another story, no offense to you guys with auto's but they really suck, or at least the '04 does. You are def missing out by not getting a stick. but thats another story that i dont really want to get into.
I will let you all know what happens when the week is up.

Interesting about your loaner car... the loaner I got from a Phoenix dealer was also filthy inside and out. It struck me as weird, because they put so much effort during the vehicle sale to steer me toward their service dept (free oil change and whatnot) that you'd think they would take better care of their loaner vehicles -- esp. since I've only owned the car for 5 weeks and was already getting a problem fixed...

Also, "[DEALER NAME] LOANER VEHICLE" was stenciled on the back window; it took up about a third of the window - I kid you not! How embarrassing ~

I had to drive that thing for 3 days and could not wait to get my car back~

I have also had these rattle problems with my 05 TL. They are all over the interior. I was wondering if anybody new if these notorious problems were resolved in teh 06 models? I might have an oportunity to make an even trade for an 06. I just want to know if I will be setting myself up for a lot of frustration again.

i think you need to stop thinking in terms of "year model". once a while people will get a squeaky one. maybe you drive more country roads or what not. i have an 04 with no rattles at all seriously.
i've heard 04,05,06 w/ rattle and w/o. so i don't think it's the year model per se. you just have to deal with your particular case. sorry to hear that. we have a lot of rattle fixes on this site. do search to see if they can help your case.

my o6 started to rattle from passenger side dash two weeks ago, but it went away after a day. hopefully, it will never come back again.
i had the third gear problem the first day i got the car. i force it into 3rd year a few time, and since then the transmission has been flawless.
i am not sure squeaky brakes is truely a "problem." i never had squeaky brakes, but i believe semimetalic disk brakes occassional can have squeaks.

2005 6MT with 12,000 miles on it, no rattles yet, the 3rd gear issue was fixed by switching to the GM mtf.
Was out driving it around yesterday and remember thinking
'man this car is nice and smooth and quiet!'

Not a single issue with the car so far, nor has it been back to the dealers.

Yea, I kinda figured that. wishful thinking i guess. I think im just gonna try and fix the 05. The trade in value is too low for me too consider switching already. But thanks.
