Car is dead?
so i drive the Tl last night, all fine, get in this morning and it wouldnt unlock with the keypad, so im like ok fine and use the key, get in and the lights are really dim and the car wouldn't crank at all. i tried over and over and randomly all the lights went on and the car started. it dose this randomly now and when i get to stop lights the car will shut off sometimes and it is an Auto with 60k miles on it. Any ideas? i really dont wanna pay acura $102 to look at it.

Two possible causes:
1) Your battery is bad and cannot hold charge; must replace.
2) Your terminals are simply loose, check the contact.
And 3) Unlikely, but your alternator maybe is going....going...gone...

check the terminals on the battery, they might be loose. Also go to autozone and have them see if your battery and alternator are good. If the battery is bad, go to acura, they should replace your battery for free or pro-rate it under the 3 year 100K warranty on batteries. If its the alternator, a dealer trip might be required.

i thought it was the battery but it was replaced by acura a couple months back, but the car is fine now? i was sittin for about 20min in my car last night and it would like hiccup and reset every couple of min. One of the terminals was replaced a while ago, i might go have them checked out tomorrow!

replaced battery terminals `a while ago` on a 2 year old car??---why?
severe corrosion .. or you wired in a big stereo?
if it needs terminals it needs new cables IMO-
that corrosion never stops at the end- its deep inside the wires and eating them alive/dead
parts stores test battery and charging system for free in the parking lot!!

You may have left a light on or something, and the battery was drained overnight. The fact that Acura replaced the battery a few months ago doesn't matter. They replaced a bad battery with another bad battery.
TLs are notorious for battery problems because the OE batteries can't hold a charge if a lightening bolt hit it.
Are you getting any warning lights on the dash?
Also, look into what 04tl4tl recommended. He's absolutely right with his suggestions.

I've got a 2yr old battery, kept in the garage and now that it's getting colder here, the battery is showing signs of struggling.
I could probably go back to the dealer and get another crap battery, but I am going to just go and get something better. I'd rather pay than have it crap out on me. Even if it would be covered by roadside assistance, it's a hassle I can do without.

When the car was at the bodyshop they replaced one of the terminals. The battery tested OK today. And the car is showing no warning lights. I leave my lights on all the time but they go off when the car is off, other than that i have my radar hardwired which has been in the car for a year and a half no issues.

Ok so i jumped it and the engine barely started. The car also ran like poo. A bunch of lights came on and the navi screen came up with an error, here is a pic of what i saw.
Im thinking it is the alternator? possibly?

get the battery charged and then disconnect the battery for 30 mins. Then reconnect. this should reset the car.
