Car battery light flashing?
Car battery light flashing?
Need help guys I was driving my Acura TL type s 08 and my battery light turned on and then turned off it usually comes on when I slow down or brake well I replaced my battery and its still doing the same thing and my alternator is about 6 months old what's the problem ??
i replaced my alternator with an aftermarket one after the oem one died on me... my battery light always comes on between 5500k to redline
its been like that for 2+ years and hasnt caused any problems so i left it as is

Well the terminals are good and clean and the alternator connections are good as well but yeah it was a remanufatored alternator I'm going to have to check it out but could it be a burnt fused because sometimes it comes on and sometimes it does ..I haven't seen a loss of power in the car either

Burnt fuse wouldn't cause the light to flash once in a while. Me still thinks belt tension is loosening as you drive so the alternator stops spinning for a bit. Hence the suggestion to check the belt, could be tensioners and pulleys as well
well I mean I did replace the tensioner and the belt when I did the 100,000 mile service but thanks ill take into consideration..it won't mess anything up if I leave it like that right just leave me stranded lol
hook to mm and drive. On the bat terminals, if no alligator clips available, just put the wires around/under the cable ends,
and in the pass compartment, tape to mm leads then drive.
Chances are the alt is going south.
Same as the high rpm that triggers the light, the bushes don't make contact with the rotor, so light comes on.
