Battery Light Issue fixed and thank you
Hello everyone,
I put up my first post on the site and was very pleasantly surprised with all the responses and I wanted to say thank you.
2006 TL 140k
Battery light indicator came on. Original battery had it tested and it had a bad core. Had alternator tested at the same time (twice) and it was ok. Replaced battery but the light stayed on. Had alternator tested again and it was good. Serpentine belt was slightly worn so I got a new belt and tensioner. Battery light remained on so I had them test my alternator again but they swore it was good. Car started and ran fine for 6 weeks and failed yesterday while driving (dash and electronics failed and car died). Swapped alternator and now battery light finally went off. I tried to locate my original post because I remembered one of you Acura guru's called it with the alternator from the start.
I'm still glad I changed out the other stuff though. Thanks again everyone for the help. I'm really glad I found this site as it's been very helpful to troubleshoot/replace things I've changed in the past (motor mount and shocks).
