Can't get my '08 TL-S to start

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get a bit of help.

My TL-S has been sitting in my condo parking garage for most of the winter (as I live in Ontario) and hadn't been started for about 3 months.

This week, since it has been warmer, I have tried to get it going but I can't seem to get it to start.

I have tried jumping it with booster cables hooked up to my buddys TL to no avail.

I have tried hooking up a car battery charger directly to the battery but it will not charge the battery.

I got the battery from Costco less than 2 years ago and never had any problems with the battery before.

Even when it is hooked up with booster cables I get no lights in the car. I can turn the key and nothing happens. No accessory lights, no nothing.

Anybody have any ideas why the car won't start?

Make certain cables/posts are clean, if so check the voltage with a mm, take the battery and have it tested.

Battery was toast. Went to Costco and got them to exchange it for me under warranty. Installed new battery and works like a dream. Got to love Costco!

The battery is going to be totally dead in most every modern car if it sits months. With lead acid batteries, sitting discharged really destroys them. If the battery was good going into storage, after sitting a month or two dead, it's going to be shot.

Put it on a trickle charger if you don't intend to use the car more than a week or two.

I returned my Costco battery after 1 year, it was having trouble starting my 07 TLS. Got my money back and bought a different one. Learned my lesson and now even in -25c the car starts first time.
