Unhappy Can't get my 04 TL to start :(

Went to leave work one day and my TL just wouldn't start. Tried jumping it, left it plugged up to charge, and it still wouldn't start. No clicking from the starter either. Just had the starter tested (it passed both times), replaced the relay and the battery and it still won't budge. Tried starting it in neutral and park. Nothing. I'm at a loss here. I'm gonna try taking all my heavy metal keys off my keyring and see if that helps next. If that doesn't work, what do y'all suggest? I can't think of anything else it could be. Maybe I need a new ignition switch? Security system going crazy? Immobilizer? I'm going insane y'all lol, I just need my car to start again.

the car should crank even if the immobilizer is switching on preventing the start.

How did you get the starter checked? Autozone normally can only test the battery and alternator....

If you need a new starter get a denso reman from rockauto and save lots of $$$ vs parts store.

My local AutoZone and O'Reilly's can test starters as well as batteries and alternators. They said they tested it twice to make sure there wasn't a false positive or negative. If it's not the "uber heavy keyring munching the ignition switch" problem, I'm definitely going to cave and order that starter you suggested.

Now that I think of it, I know someone who had their starter tested there and it tried to set itself on fire, but the machine said it passed lol. They refused to let him leave with that starter of course.

I would advise you to look on youtube for the acura TL to see how to check the starter signal voltage. If the ignition is bad, starter is not getting signal to turn on. If the starter is getting voltage to turn on, it's the starter or something related.

Heavy key ring could certainly damage the ignition over time so try without the heavy key-ring.
