Can't find what the part is called, but....

OK.... so hopefully I can describe this a way that everyone will know what I am talking about. I have the grey/carbon interior. On both sides of the center console, there is a silver, textured (aluminum?) piece that extends up the dash to just about where the navi screen is (if I remember correctly).

Well - now that you all have the part pictured in your heads.... I bought my car used, and it appears the guy that drove the car before me was blind (wow...) He must have missed the seat belt everytime or something, because the metal surface is all scraped up and has like 20 little dings in it. I looked for the part in the acura store, but I couldn't locate which piece it actually was.

Anyone have any ideas or part numbers (or cost perhaps?) I would like to replace both the drivers and passenger just to keep things equal.

Thanks all in advance.

I think this is what your talkin about.

Not sure what year your car is so I just used 2007 as an example.
go to estore and look under
parts => interior/bumper => front console
If i'm not mistaken, it should be part 5 and 9 you are lookin for.
GARNISH ASSY., FR. PASSENGER CONSOLE *TAP2199B*

Yep - I think you both nailed it on the head. Thanks for helping on that. I guess I was expecting a bit more curve to the picture, so that's why I never quite knew if that was it or not.

Any chance they make aftermarket pieces like that, or am I stuck getting them direct from the stealership?

Oh well - life goes on I guess.

I have the same dings and little dents in the same area on the drivers side.
I thought the previous owner was real overwieght and his belt or jeans or
something was scraping while in the seat.
