HELP ME!


I took the front passenger door panel off last week b/c my window stopped working. i couldn't find anything blatantly wrong, so i prob need a new regular...anyway, i put the panel back on and reconnected everything..shut the door and went about my business


yesterday i tried to open the door and it will not open. both the interior and exterior handles don't do anything (though for the interior handle i know the cable is still attached bc when you pull it if i listen close you can here the cable move)


when i use the unlock button on the drivers door or the keyfob, all other 3 doors fully unlock/lock and open...the door in question locks all the way (the tab goes all the way down) but will not go all the way up, something is restricting its travel..or part of the mechanism is out-of-sync or something


and remember i cannot roll the window down...PLEASE HELP..i'd rather not have to rip the panel off from the inside ruining it. i dont see the same color scheme avail on ebay right now...any ideas?


can i try and jimmy the lock with a wire hanger or something????

 

well shoot. we just fixed it. i took a small screwdriver and moved the little plastic piece that surrounds the lock tab back and forth and now it unlocks. i guess it was in a bind. i feel dumb. anyway, if you are reading this and you have a similar problem, just jiggle that piece around and run a screwdriver all the way around it and it'll seat properly

oh well. im thankful i didn't start ripping into the door panel
