Canadian 3G TL Washer Fluid sensor help

Hi,

Bought a 2004 TL (canadian) a year ago, was surprised to see that there was no washer fuild sensor since its kind of standard in canada, i had one on my 2002 mazda protege ! ... After doing some reading, i see the Canada version of the TL is supposed to have that sensor, so i was wondering how can i test if its the sensor thats broken or is it the dashboard light thats burned out ?

thanks !

Nevermind, looked up with a flashlight and i even seem to have to light on the dash that would look like a washer fluid one, i guess there really isnt a sensor for it, i know for a fact there was one for canadian version on the 2G.

It should have a sensor.

The reminder comes up on the MID.

You can replace the sensor.

By MID i guess you mean the screen where the oil life/kilo appears ? If so i guess i should just replace the sensor and it'll work ...

2G did have one 3g does too, Usually these sensors suck and always display low washer fluid in the winter as the sensor corrodes in the winter months. Alot of ppl just unplug the sensor so its not an annoyance. The warning is on the MID so there is no way of getting rid of it. Check the sensor maybe corroded/defective replace and be on your way!

Alright thanks for the complete reply, i will look it up probably next week during my oil change, if im lucky, the previous owner might of just unpluged it like you mentioned, called the acura deal and they charge 75$ for the sensor, do you know any other canadian shop that would sell that sensor so i might get a better price ?

In any event, i will wait to change it as i already have my oil change and front pads coming up.

Again thanks

Get the part from http://www.curryacuraparts.com/ . They have saved me a lot of money over the year I've had my car. Takes 1 week to get to Alberta from NJ, so should be quicker for you since you're in Quebec. However I guess I'm not sure 'would' they have the sensor since it is a Canada only thing...

Too late to edit my post, but just curious could you tell us what the part is? Is it 76835-SHJ-C01 (the same one used in the MDX)?

Just called the acura dealer and the part # is 76835s3v305, so i guess its not the same part, btw thanks for the above link, but they dont have the sensor, as you said since its a canadian part, they re not selling it.

I guess i'll eventually just buy it from dealer for 75$.

Actually I was able to find it! Just search 76835S3V305 under parts but select Honda instead of Acura. Or here is the link http://www.trademotion.com/parts/index.cfm?action=oePartSearch&siteid=214999&make=H onda&year=&model=&submodel=&searchText=76835S3V305

Don't save too much since it's $52.74 with shipping, but hey $20 is still something.

Make sure that $42 shipped includes any kind of import fees/duties, unless it's a Canadian site in which case even better
