Can I swap a type S 3.5L engine into my 2006 Acura TL ?

 

Yes, BUT....



Is yours an automatic or a manual?



What year is your TL?



Are you up to buying a parts car TypeS for the swap?



Are you mechanically inclined?



And most importantly...



Do YOU feel comfortable spending more money on building a car that you could probably get for cheaper and without the headaches.



Unless you need a new engine and have some extreme attachment to your current TL, I'm fairly certain an engine swap would yeild less benefits over simply buying a clean TypeS.

 

For starters, the Type-S engine will not bolt up to the 2006 transmission.

 

Save the headache, I’ve got a mess of a project TL I’m stuck with. Should have just bought a clean one

You may be able to swap a J35A6 out of the 05+ Odyssey (LX/EX only) non-VCM. Still lots of new low end torque to be found with this non-type-S 3.5L.

Got a tl/s 2003 automatic
just have a wicked deal
on a 2004 MT6
my question since i have a V2 ecu
( will work whit my harness auto)
the flywheel and the clutch
i use one of a 2004+
or like my engine 2003-
and btw i run turbo setup too
so i need a good flywheel
