A/C suddenly warm, then cold again
On my new '06 TL (500 miles), just had the strangest thing happen to me just after I accelerated onto the freeway:
A/C set to "58 Auto". Outside temp 90. Blowin' nice cold air as always. Suddenly it started blowing warm air at me. Although still in "Auto" mode, I flipped the A/C switch to "Off", then "On" again, and then reset to "58 Auto". Cold air started blowing again, no prob.
I did a fairly rapid accel onto the freeway (jumped across to the far left lane to avoid some 18-wheelers), and it must've downshifted once or twice while making the move (I'm in a 5AT), so the only thing I can think of is that the computer got "confused". Of course something totally different may have happened that I'm not thinking of.
Obviously I'm now on the lookout for this issue again, because I can't bring it in for service until I can successfully duplicate it or at least explain it and make a correlation of cause/effect. But in the meantime: Anyone around here run across this, or have any brilliant ideas to share?
Thanks!

I used to have an old 86 (1st gen) Legend and one of the features was, during hard acceleration, the A/C compressor would cut out. This was to improve passing/acceleration response.
I haven't tried it, or noticed it on my 06 6MT, but wouldn't be surprised if Acura still had this "feature".

The climate control system is linked to the Navi system, that tracks the position of the sun relative to the car. There is also some kind of temp senor on the dash on the passenger side near the windshield.
The idea is as the sun directly beams into the car, the AC system when in Auto, automatically adjusts the A/C to compensate for the sudden increase in heat. In reality, I don't think it works very well. That's probably why its fine in manual.
From the Acura Website: (Its Flash, so I cant give you the link)
"The sun streams in and your temperature begins to rise. But the TL's sun sensors are standing by to keep you cool. They work using the TL's GPS system to calculate the sun's location relative to the driver and front passenger, and the automatic climate control system automatically adjusts the temperature to compensate."
