Hey all.
Have a problem with a/c. A/c is cold as snow when it's on. The problem is that sometimes it does not want to go on. Yesterday I closed the hood by dropping it as we do and the a/c kicked in. It intermittent. Have reached thru old threads and found many differing opinions. I'm thinking weak relay. At fuse box under hood. I would hate for it to be field coil. Don't have a guage to check freon levels. But being that it is cold as snow. Don't think freon is low. All blower speeds work and car has heat.

 

Problem fixed. Put in oe relay. A/c good and cold again.

 

That's what I was going to suggest. If the relay or clutch is goofy it may not engage correctly.
