A/C and Nav Reset
A/C and Nav Reset
I'm hoping I am not the only one to experience this. I am taking the car in to Acura tomorrow but want to go loaded with info from the forum if possible.
Yesterday I noticed that when I started my '07 TL-S, the A/C was cleared, and by this I mean that the same setting should appear as when I turned off the car, such as AUTO, 72, etc... right? Yet all I got was a blank display.
Also, my Nav reset itself in the middle of my commute home. It went blank and then went back through the start-up sequence... disclaimer with the okay buttom.
Has anyone seen this before?

hopefully you turn all the ac stuff OFF not leave it in auto mode when shutting car down
The ac being on at startup puts extra load on the system- so does the stereo- turn all off!
You could have hit a big bump or gone thru a tunnel- related to reset of nav?
dealership here you come!

Okay, I got the car back and of course, the tech found no problems. They ended up disconnecting the battery and holding the two leads together for 3 minutes to drain the caps in the electrical system.
Everything seemed okay until I noticed that the NAVTraffic was not coming up over the NAV (XM works fine but no traffic even if the icon is selected). I am now working with the tech on rectifying this issue.

The ac compressor does not turn on until a few seconds after startup. The draw from the stereo is non existant too since this too takes a few seconds to come on and even if it were on immediately it wouldn't make a difference.
