Another noise thread. My car makes a metallic bzzzt noise when it is cold.

For the first 15 minutes of driving it goes Bzzzzt at about 1300 rpm and 1900 rpm. It is worse when going up hill because the auto transmission will frequently hold 1900 rpm with out shifting. The noise is coming from the front, but not sure if it is the wheel or engine.

Any guesses? I am going to take it to the dealer because the car is under extended warranty, but I think they might need help on this one.

 

Check belt tensioner and heat shield.

Last week I had my tensioner and belt replaced. It was doing it slightly before, but now it got worse. I guess it could still be related.

Also, which heatshield do you mean?
