Buying Remanufactured Rack & Pinion

I need to replace the rack and pinion on my '04 6MT. I've heard that I can swap in a Type S rack and pinion for tighter steering, and while this is something I am considering, I'd like to know about buying remanufactured parts from Rock Auto.

There are three options that I have. Are all of these original Acura parts? Any advice on what would be a good option?

More Information for AAE 3721 $128 after returning the core

More Information for ACDELCO 36R0514 $173

No idea, but the boot has been covered in fluid for probably 10k+ miles. Took it to my mechanic and he said it needs to be replaced.

I am deciding between the two Racks you listed. I've been filling up my power steering fluid up for 8 months. Just carrying some Honda/Acura steering fluid for my leaking rack, until I am willing to shell out the cash....

FIY there is no guarantee you will get Type S rack if you decide to buy rebuilt racks. I went through the same dilemma a year ago, I went a bought a new rack from oemacuraparts and according to them all the rack they selling is new factory rack. BTW if you buy new rack make sure you buy new inner tire rod, new OEM rack does not come with inner tire rod and boot. I bought inner and outer tire rod and the local Acura dealer do the install for$700.

most likely old age or air getting in through the weak power steering pump.
