Busted CV Boot

So took a wheel off and grabbed hold of a handful of grease. Through further inverstigation, i found the cv boot to be cracked and leaking. Any immediate hazards of driving on it for the next few days? hopefully warranty will take care of it so its no concern...does the camber kit put more stress on the cv axle? or does negative camber put more stress? seems this problem occured after the installl and alignment with camber kit...any suggestions will help...thanks

i think you should be okay as long as it hasn't gotten to the point where your axle has started to click at full locked turns...

who installed your camber kit??? it is possible that something could have gotten damaged during the install process because i just can't see that you would have those problems with just normal wear and tear on such a young car...

or maybe it happened cause you "DRIVE" your car to be able to pull your 13.9's

if its a torn boot, the all important grease is leaking out and dirt is being attracted to the nearly dry bearing inside-
Camber kits allow the alignment to be put back to zero camber-
if you were lowered car and cv failed- thats not warranty- lower causes stress
It Does NOT tear the boot
But unless your car is under 12 months- not likely a boot itself is covered
ASK the service MANAGER in person about it.

Its possible the installer of the front kits did stick a screwwdriver or similar edged tool into the boot while attempting removal of the ball joint---which would make them responsible for the damage.' A glue on boot is not OK- a new cv axle assembly complete is what you need
dirt has already ground itself into the formerly smooth bearing surface

well i used to work at the local acura dealership and i am friends with the techs and service advisors...i think i can get it covered...my airbag wire was replaced under warranty even though the malfunction was because i installed the wire back wrong during a-spec steering wheel install...thats one thing that seperates acura from honda...service..for the most part that is
