Strange problem, LED related?

today the indicator for my trunk open wouldnt go off. i figured the trunk switch was bad but then i noticed i didnt have any interior lights. turns out the 7.5 amp fuse in slot #6 was blown. I replaced it with another 7.5 and its been working fine for a while now. trunk indicator went off.

#1 why would the trunk open indicator be affected by a blow interior light fuse?

#2. fuses blow for a reason. ive replaced all my interior bulbs with leds, could the leds be pulling just a litte bit more current than the stock blubs? i would think it the other way around.

any thoughts?

did you recently install the LEDs? You may have reversed the polarity on one or have a loose one causing a short.

I shorted mine while installing and LED in the trunk or the reverse lights.

My guess is that the blown fuse effected the "trunk closed" switch, so with the switch not working, the car thougt the trunk was unlatched.
