Burnout lurch

So I’ve recently had a stage 1 clutch installed on my 2007 Acura TL type s and I’ve broken it in and all that. So when ever I go and do a burnout in first gear and bang the limiter a couple of time it starts lurching really bad it doesn’t feel mechanical more like a safety system I obviously have traction control off so what could be causing this? It’s so bad when it happens I have to stop or I think I’m gonna break something.

well, Yes. the car is not intended for burnouts. you are damaging the car. you are abusing it. Keep abusing it and it will break.

Have you tried removing the rev limiter?

Is it lurching because you are still banging off the limiter? Or are you getting excessive wheel hop which is causing the lurching?

I don't think I have ever bounced off the limiter on purpose in the 11+ years I have owned my TL. No matter what....your poor TL won't last long if this is how it is going to be treated.

Whenever I read threads like this I always look to see the age of the driver, and if age is correct he will probably be broken before the TL breaks.

OP probably just finished watching Tokyo Drift lol

I did this same stuff back in my early 20's. I didn't have a car anywhere near as nice as the TL. I did all of this stuff in my Z24...and ended up shattering the spider gears in the differential and broke an engine mount.

To the OP....just be aware of what you will be breaking and tearing up. If you are aware and OK with that...have fun and be safe. My guess is you having major wheel hop which is extremely disturbing to feel in the cabin as well as quite destructive to the vehicle.
