bumper problem
I have the same problem.. I got rear-ended, body shop replaced the bumper and stuff, and now there's a bit of a pop-out on either side. As soon as I saw it, I said something to the service advisor, and he said that there are no clips or anything there, and that's just the way it is.
I went to an Acura dealership a few days ago, and looked at probably 20 TLs (2007-2008) that were on the lot. About 70% of them had this problem. Yet none of the 2004-2006s had this issue.
It's really bizarre. The body shop that did my work is a good 40 minutes away, so I'd like to get more info on how to fix this before making the trek. I can put up pics later if needed. Thanks!

I have the same issue on the left side after i replaced the LED board in the left tail light. Its not bad but i know its there and i would like to fix it too. Will try to take a pic and post it here when i go home.
Here are the pics. This was not like this before i removed it to change the LED board. I only took the bumper off from left side. It kept popping out and i had to remove it again and on the side there is the black plastic latch type thing i had to adjust so it wont pop out anymore but could not see anything else i could do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

The area where this is happening is one where the bumper cover is held in place by "hooks," four of them on each side. They're just metal projections. I would try to bend the top one, or maybe two, so the clearance is less and see if that holds better. Also, once I had a couple of screws in place to hold the cover I would next try to fit the cover so that it's flush at that point on both sides before doing anything else. Just a thought, based on dealing with the front bumper and looking at the service manual.
Hi Guys I'm new and this is my first post
Just purchased an 05 Redondo Red Pearl auto/ w Nav... Its funny I just walked around my car this past weekend and noticed the exact same issue on the right rear under the tail light... I'm not an expert by any stretch but my remedy was to pull the bumper cover out about an inch and put a bead of Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive sealant along the clips. Pressed the bumper cover into place and wiped all squeeze excess away. Then using auto body masking tape I taped the area to hold it in place... After 2 hrs I removed the tape and presto problem solved... I noticed also like in the picture above that there was some chipping of the clear coat. I taped the area and used a small bottle of Duplicolor scratch fix clear to coat the chiping. Sorry I dont have pictures but the results are excellent... Hope this helps some one else...
