Brown Sticky Slick Fluid

I found a medium sized puddle of brownish fluid under my car, the front end side, near the windshield area. It is slippery but sticky at the same time...Doesn't smell like motor oil? Could it be PS leak?

Okay so I first thought it was PS fluid because it was on the right side in line with the PS components but it seems like its coming from the oil pan nut area...whether its coming from the pan itself or above and dripping I don't know.

That's what I was thinking. I might just ignore it till I decide to do the big service again. I haven't noticed any changes on the dipstick and I have buckets of oil to replace anything that's lost. Just hope it stays like this.

CV axle grease is typically brown, especially if it's old. Check the boots on your CV joints. Although it's usually so thick that it tends to whip around the area that the boot isn't protecting rather than dripping.

This is of the oil drain plug shot, this is the only place it is leaking from and the only place a puddle is forming. From my pictures and late night inspection, I feel like it has to be dripping from the drain plug? I Don't see any clear oil leak signs from above.

Every single puddle left on the street or driveway is on the right side and its oil for sure. Maybe the washer is garbage? Re-tighten Plug?

Typical Honda crush washers are silver, not red. Could be a bad washer, could be that the oil pan has been stripped and now you need to replace it.

I would second the cv axle grease, had an inner boot go bad and gave me a head gasket scare, it could be a slow leak, but id definitely change that crush washer.

Based on the title, I thought this was a tale of another one of Crabman's failed sexcapades
