Broken off PCV Valve on 2008 TL-S

So I was trying to replace the PCV valve and it has broken off, and I can't reach in to pull out the rest. I don't know how much it matters if I ignore it and have a broken off PCV valve forever or if I must fix this, and what I could possibly do to get the rest of it out. Please help!

Insert a tap or screw into it and pull.

I would try a hook pick. You'll probably need to trim the hook. Hook & pull until you can grab it with pliers.

So after a little research, including reading these posts, I am going to try digging out the remaining piece(s) with a tap (I read somewhere to try a 7/16-inch tap) and maybe an internal pipe wrench. If nothing seems to work, I will just have someone take the valve cover off and dig out the remaining pieces. I did read somewhere that I don't really have to be concerned about pushing the remaining piece left into the engine, as I assume the opening is rather small, but does anyone know that for sure? I'd hate to really try to bust up what's left of the old PCV valve and then find out I could damage the engine with the PCV valve being shoved into the engine.

Finished the job today. As suggested elsewhere, I used 7/16 - 14 tap to bust it out. Only problem is the very end tip must have been pushed all the way in to the valve cover. But I can put the new PCV on just fine. Just a little uneasy about something loose in the valve cover now.
