Broken AEM Cold Air Intake

hey guys...on my 04 tl, i have a aem cold air intake....now, the piece on the intake pipe where it slides into the bolt on the car cracked off...it was due to excessive engine movement due to bad motor mounts....i went ahead and changed all 3 motor mounts...my question to you guys is there anyway of like re glueing that piece back on or sutten...i really dont wanna spend another $300 on a intake...so can any of you that has had this problem get back to me with some solutions...thanks

You could take it to a local exhaust shop and see if they can weld aluminum. If not I would jb weld it back together.

jb weld the piece back together then put some cushioning where it hits the hole through the fender to relieve stress on it

AEM CAI's have a lifetime guarantee. Same thing happened to me last year. I emailed pics and my original receipt (this is key) to their customer service and they sent me a brand new kit in 1 week.

^^^^ if thatdoesn't work take it to a welding shop not a muffler shop. Aluminum has to be welded in the presence of argon and most muffler shops won't have that.

I doubt JB will hold on something like that.

thanks again for getting back to me guys...i guess i could try the jb weld stuff...as for the lifetime warrenty for aem, i dont think i have the receipt but i guess it wouldnt hurt to call and try...i will let you know what happens...thank you
