Brittle PCV Valve

Went to replace it today and only a small piece came out. Tried to use my hook set to get the remainder out but the surface was too smooth. Plus, judging by the amount of cooked oil underneath its location, it’s likely fried to the sides. Anyone know a method I can use to get it out without getting a shop involved nor dismantling the upper engine?

I have read some folks utilize internal pipe wrenches for a similar extraction if the proper size can be found?

Saw something similar about a coarse screw on YT. Will give that a shot first. Thanx for the feedback, guys

Received mine new PCV. I've replaced it without any problems. Looks as if the PCV is ok - just needed to clean it. The rubber orings were completely worn out and flatten - looks as if was enough just to replace the orings.

Sorry, bud. Kid drives the TL during the week so I only have access to it on the weekend. Glad yours was an easy replacement. Mine is still stuck. Brittle to the point that any attempt to pull it out just makes chunks. Stopping before any of it mixes in with the oil. That sucker is fused in there.
