bremo brakes
Hey guys, I am not sure if this is a problem or just the characteristic of the bremo brakes. Yesterday, I was driving and when I press on the brakes, it started to make a buzzing sound. It was loud enough that my front dash started to rattle a bit. I am not sure if it only occurs on uneven roads, but later on when I was driving local there weren't any rattles anymore. I just went over 1000 miles on the 08 TLS.
^^ Must agree with post above. We have road construction right outside our neighborhood (be glad when it's done). And with the uneven roads and such have not noticed any problems with the Brembo's. I'd get it into the dealership.
ASAP to the dealership!!!--
A CALL right now!!! to the service MANAGER_
MY BRAKES make bad noise and shake the dash- with 1,000 !!! miles on the car!!!
Way too many yaw sensors and abs controls- traction control associated with the brakes to let any noise go unchecked- especially at 1000 miles
The brembos are not grabby- they may need to be properly bedded, or deglazed if driven too gently.
They are badazz brakes, drive them like you mean it sometimes!!!

Tell me more about this buzzing....does it have a vibration associated with it? What kind of braking? Any information would help. Talking to the service manager at any shop i have ever worked at is like talking to the president it usually requires a series of voicemails. Any service advisor worth a damn can take an appt and get you a loaner asap if required
Fixed!
I too had this buzzing/squeaking noise and it was bugging the hell out of me. I took it to Rosenthal Acura in Maryland and they finally test drove it and identified the problem. Re-surfaced the brembo rotors and gave me fresh pads (all under warranty even with 17,000 miles on TL-S)

I just dropped off the car this morning. Basically told them that when I press the brakes it gives annoying sound that makes my whole cabin rattle. Told them my rear deck (subwoofer) rattle too and my rear suspension is a lot noisier. Gave me an 08 TSX loaner and I was on my way.
Then the service advisor calls me back later around noon and told me they need to order few parts for the car.
Here is what they are going to order:
Foam Tape - PN 6991-SA5-000
2 Rear Struts - PN 52610-SEP-A17
Rear Middle Retract - PN 04823-SEP-A0124
By looking at the work order they weren't able to duplicate the problem with the brakes. I am not getting any vibration when I brake, so I don't really think it is the rotors or pads. When I travel at 40 mph or above and press the brakes to slow down, I can hear more like a buzzing/rattle throughout the car. So I hope those parts will repair this. By the way the car only has 1,800 miles on it.

I need to buy new brake pads. I've been reading a lot around the topics and I read a lot of PROS and CONS about the pads available for our cars. My TL-S 08 has 12k miles and my pad is very low. I've read that this is common on the brembo TL-S 07-08. I dont know which brand to buy my pads to buy. I've read that for the rotora is better to buy a racing disk because it will damage the factory disc.
Does the rotora ceramic pads will damage my Brake disc? What should I get if I want to stay with my stock brake disc and which brand I should get so I dont have to go to the acura dealer and get raped by the prices for this kind of jobs that is very easy and simple?

I've got a set of these on order to be installed next week along with new EBC OE replacement rotors.
I'll let you know how they work out.

Dusting decreased around 80-90% and is no more (maybe less) than my '05 automatic TL. My rotors are smooth and show a nice, even wear pattern. But then, I'm the guy who can also manage 60,000 miles from the stock OEM pads if I was of a mind to do so. As I mentioned, I still have those pads in a box on my workbench in the garage.
So if your driving is street and you are looking to reduce the dusting, the Rotex Gold Kevlars are a good set of pads to consider. If you are of a mind to tear through the twisties and push your car, stay with the stock pads.
Well I dont think I push the car that much, from time to time i'll rev up the motor to keep it nice and ready to go, but I dont tend to drive faast around corners and shit.
Can you put the link to but those pads.

The important thing it so carefully inspect your rotors to make sure the are smooth. If not, you need to have them turned. Also bedding in is important to eliminate squeal. I did some extensive writeups in 2006 on this so if you search for Rotex Gold Kevlar you will find my postings about bedding them in. The reduction in dusting is tremendous.. as in VERY little dust. Also, the little bit of dust there is, is not black.
Once again, for normal street driving (which you seem to do), these pads are more than sufficient for your car's braking needs.

Hmm....Yes, thanks for the information...just heard some squealing start today from my stock pads. I have an 04 a spec 6 speed and I've noticed A LOT of brake dust!
Sounds like a great alternative.

Problem is back!
Ok. So contrary to my previous post my break rotors are squeaking again. Apparently Rosenthal loves resurfacing them...Twice in fact. Will go in this weekend and see about getting them replaced...or buy meself a set of rotors. Sigh. Brembos on these cars are crap.
