Brembo Pad Fitment?

Hello, I finally got my oem pads, but just like you see in the photo the inner pad will only go in that far unless i hammer it in then its like jammed in there and i know it should slide right in like the outter pad did with no problems. Has anyone encountered this before? There are no obstructions in the way and im just baffled. Appreciate any input. I wanted to ask before i just have to frind down a little.

I had the same problem with my BBK. I tried inserting the pad several different ways, cleaning the caliper, greasing the areas where the pad/caliper come in contact, etc. Ended up just grinding down the edges of the shims.

just because you dont see an obstruction doesnt mean there isnt any. do you think the pad would just stop for no reason? obviously something is stopping it. my guess is you didnt push the pistons back in completely

What paperboy42190 said. Also, if your rotor is warped you will run into this problem.

Thanks for your input

I have the pistons all the way in and the pad isnt touching the rotor when i try sliding it in so its not in the way. It is very strange, but i guess ill have to grind one side slightly when i get to it Monday.

That seems awfully sketchy. It might be worth your while to remove the caliper and inspect what is going on in there. You can even use a flashlight to shine in there to see what's happening. It could even be a rust build up somewhere in there. I wouldn't start randomly grinding stuff down though- when I did mine, I had to lightly tap them in with a rubber mallet, but I also didn't push my pistons in 100%.

What they said. I got new Brembo rotors and pads, and they installed without an issue.
