Question Brembo brakes creaking noise when pressed at stop and vibration at turns

2004 TL 6MT with Brembo calipers. Rotors were replaced 20000 miles ago and pads replaced 10000 miles ago. Off late, I am hearing loud creaking noise as if i am pressing a rusted old spring when I press the brakes. I rolled the windows down and it is clearly coming from the left wheel. Any Idea as to what may be causing this? Does my caliper need cleaning? Do I have to flush the brake fluid?

Another problem - When I brake hard at turns to come to a stop, the brake shudders and vibrates a lot that I can literally feel on my foot on the brake pedal. The pedal moves in and out a little as if it is popping out. Is that the ABS? or does it sound like an issue? I never experienced this earlier though.

in terms of the squeak, doesnt hurt to pop the pads out and clean the caliper. I'd inspect the pad spring that keeps tension on the pads..perhaps that might be the cause of the squeak.

i have had creaking and a minor vibration problem with my brakes last month... i thought it was my brembo calipers but it turned out that the "brake dust shield" was loose

maybe your brake dust shield is loose too? mine was on the front right side. just a suggestion

also braking hard into a corner will definitely engage ABS, the shudder feeling is normal

edit: i have had my rotors replaced recently too. just a wild guess but im thinking when the mechanics installed the new rotors they might have tightened the screws too much or not enough... causing the brake shield dust to come loose. my brake dust shield was fine up until i got new rotors, then it got loose about a month later and started making creaking noises

I think I have the same problem in the rear, when I drive I hear a scraping noise and it gets louder when I make turns. I first thought it's the e-breaks but not sure. How do you tighten the dust shield?

I have this same issue. Just noticed it today when I rolled my windows down at the light. Depressed the brakes all the way down and you hear squeaks.. kind've like a old rusted spring. New rotors and pads were installed a few months ago and I did an RL swap if that matters along with SS lines.

I cleaned my calipers and applied brembo grease on the caliper pistons and the brakepad pins and the creaky noise went away. I was told that the sudden braking on a sharp turm activates the ABS which is why i felt the vibration.

Did you put the grease on the metal edge of the pad. I put it on the backskside of my pads and it is stil creaking. I also put it on the pins and spring. it still does it though
