Brakes squealing

Hey guys,

I've put on new rotors and new ceramic pads, but when I press on the brakes while driving, they still squeal like a bastard. Any idea what could be up?

Check your auto parts store and look for brake lube or grease

ceramic pads do had a tendency to squeal a little, especially while they are breaking in.

try braking a little harder at slow speeds. Light braking drags on the squealing lol

For some reason I doubt they beded them. After putting in new brakes, you need to follow a series of sharp & gradual breaking in order to properly bed them in. Instructions should have come with them.

for performance pads to get the most out of it you should bed them. Different brands have different methods of bedding.

By the way, the lube goes on the back of the shim so it's between the piston and the shim.

^ exactly like that.... lube/grease should never go on the face of the pad.

Put the grease/lube on just the inside pad, or both?

Both pads, and both sides of the caliper bracket, pins, retainers, ect.
ALL the contact points should be lubed.
My OEM Brembos need it all the right spots.
I liek Versachem's synth brake lube.

Chances are it's just the quality of the pad itself. Getting a better gripping pad usually make more noise.

04WDPSeDaN, I think you are right. I bought the ceramic ones from Napa Auto Parts.

I bought some brake grease today and applied it like the diagram says to. And I still get nasty squealing.
