Brakes squeak?

I know I did a search for this problem, but i found more results on the brembo brakes which doesn't really apply to me. I just bought an '04 TL with 65k miles and dealer replaced all brakes, rotors, and tires before I took delivery and now I get this squeaking noise out of my brakes (possibly the rear) when I lightly apply the brakes. When I firmly apply them I don't have any problems except for a quick squeak as i'm pushing down on the pedal. The dealer checked the brake and showed me there was nothing wrong with them. They said it can have metal composite build up and told me to find an empty road and go up to 50mph and jam on the brakes. They told me to do that 3 or 4 times. I did that and no change. Then they told me to go to a parking lot and drive the car foward and reverse for 40 yards while hold both the brake and gas pedal to clear off the composite. Still it has not changed? Anyone else experience this problem?

Did you try using brake cleaner? Just take off your tire and spray everything, rotors and brake calipers. I got my squeal to go away, not entirely and greatly improved. Make sure you wash your car afterwards cuz brake cleaner eats the paint.

Use WD40, and the dealer is fuck, just like most acura dealers. Spray a rim or brake degreaser, and let it stay on for 5 min, u will see alot of dirty rust or stuff coming off then wash it off good. Then spray alot of wd40 on the rim, brakes, pads, caliper basically everything behind the rim. And just leave it on, dont wash it off. I did this to my dads, 03 GMC ENVOY, his brakes sqeaked like hell even though he bought new brakes. Now they dont sqeak 1 bit.

WD40 on Brakes!!! Are you insane!!!! that stuff has oil in it!!!!!
NEVER get it near brakes!!!!!

As long as the brake rotors are in good condition and the pad depth is good, any squeek or squeel is usually from driving them to softly on braking- that builds the glaze you are talking about
Carb cleaner wont fix it either

try bedding the pads and rotors with this method- used with hi performance parts to break them in or clean off as needed, but should fix you up

There's a TSB on the Squeaky Brakes

I just had my pads and rotors replaced only to be frustrated by the low speed squeak. On the MT TLs 04-06, the Brembos have to be turned once when they're new.

I love how the dealer just tells their customers to do dangerous and semi-wreckless crap like it's nothing -___-
