Exclamation Brake pedal vibrates when wipers move?

Does anybody has this vibration on the brake pedal when the wipers are on? Specially when you come to a complete stop and you have your foot on the brake, and then the wipers move, you can feel the vibration when they hit the top of the windshield and then when they hit the bottom of the windshield? Does anyone have any solutions?

It's the motor, a few of the cars I've owned in the past did this. Usually if you have all your accesorries going all at once, including the wipers, it tends to suck a lot of juice. Check your battery, and the wiper motor...or just complain to the dealership!

i remember this was talked about a while ago.

Its not a vibration, its that you can feel when the wipers stop and move again.

I'm with you. I feel it too. Strange how you only feel it with the brake pedal and not the accelerator
I think the wiper motor is attached to the firewall and the vibration runs through it where the brake pedal "stop" is attached. That is why we feel it. Maybe im wrong, but I definitely feel it too.

I have noticed that too on my 2006 TL, but I first noticed it in my wife's Honda CRV and spoke to the dealer and he told me there is nothing wrong with the car. Thats the way it was designed. Must be a Honda/Acura thing. It is annoying though.

It is because of the wiper motor being wired into the brake pedal.

Next time it is raining lightly, turn the wipers to the slowest intermittent level and leave the car in drive with your foot on the brake. Make note of now long it takes between cycles. Then soon after a cycle finishes, let off the pedal -- you'll notice the wipers activate as you let go of the pedal regardless of the cycle time.

I think its designed to clean the windows as you take off from a stoplight etc.

I saw that last night!!! It was raining and I noticed that the timing of the wipers was off when I had it on intermittent. As soon as I let my foot of the brake, they would wipe. I thought they were tied into the brake light and not the brake pedal. Another cool feature with this car. I don't feel the vibration of the wipers though.

Ha, I always thought variations in intermittent speeds was speed triggered, not the brakes. I noticed it a lot at red lights on my wife's 01 Odyssey and also on her new CR-V. Never noticed on the TL but sure I will now.

I have sort of an offical reason why you feel the wipers wiping, the wiper has a support mount to the firewall, and the brake is connected to the fire-wall, so the vibration from the wiper goes to the firewall, then to the brake...
