Angry Brake pads and rotor replacement (problem)

Hello all,
I had the same problem that a lot of people have had with the stripping of the caliper bolt on the front Brembo brake caliper. Luckily, only one bolt on one side stripped. I bought the helicoil kit and did the replacement and it came out great. Unfortunately, the front brakes don't seem to be releasing from the rotors. It makes a loud whistle sound when applying. When I put the wheels back on there was no play in the wheel itself (I couldn't spin the wheel at all). Has anyone else had this problem?

After the re-installment we also only bleed the front left brake line since thats the only caliper that actually had to be taken off. Should I have bleed every side?

OK, first the obvious question: Are you sure you were in neutral?

Next question: Do you have slotted rotors?

As far as bleeding goes, I'm not sure, but I'd think just bleeding the affected caliper would remove any induced air from the system.

No, I definitely wasn't in neutral, I was in first gear during the whole process. Should've I been in neutral?

As far as bleeding goes, I thought the same thing. The only caliper that was removed was the one with the stripped bolt.

damn I'm thinking about doing my brakes this weekend. I hope I dont encounter a cross threaded bolt. I wonder how common it is for it to happen..

oh yea i'm not afraid of myself..these cross threaded bolts seem to be coming from the factory.

Since my car has 55k miles on it I'm assuming this is the first time the rotors are being replaced.

Correction: We did have it in neutral when we tried to spin the wheels.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Why wouldn't the calipers be releasing from the rotor?
