Brake Line Issue

Brake got soft while driving today, I noticed brake fluid inside the rim ..
took the wheel off and found the line connected to caliper leaking
I touched the line noticed it was loose and came out of the 10mm screw that secure it to caliper ..
My question is have anyone had this issue
I am thinking the entire metal line will likely need to be replaced
Any thoughts \ comments?

I have an '07 Type S, but haven't experienced your issue. Have some brake work done recently?

You'll need to replace that line, but it's a pretty cheap part: Acura online store : 2007 tl brake lines (vsa) (2) parts

Try to make sure the broken piece of the flare tubing isn't sitting in the fluid inlet of the brake caliper.

It depends. If the line is damaged in any way or the flair on the actual brake line is no good then the line would need to be changed. If you don't know how to properly flare a brake line then I wouldn't suggest you do it because it will just leak again unless you can get a line that's already pre-flared with that fitting on it.

AMTMJ - thanks for head u, I found the broken flang sitting in the caliper .I was about put a piece of rubber in that hole on the caliper to stop the brake fuild from running out
JasonK it looks like the line is no good since the flang broke off . I can't say I have ever seen this before

Yeah that's pretty weird I've never seen that before on non rusted lines.

Result!

Tools and part ( cost me less than $5 . I also used a 11mm wrench to open the bleeder valves

Line clamp to prevent brake fluid lost and minimize bleeding

Result!!

Broken line
