Bluetooth button not working and Heated seat light fail

Quick question. I have a friend with an 07 TL and his bluetooth button on the steering wheel not working. Can someone pinpoint if its a bad fuse problem or the button unit? If fuse issue can someone direct me to where I can find that fuse?

Then he said the heated seat light on both driver and passenger side lights are not lid up when you turn on both parking and headlamp. BUT when he presses the heated seat button, the amber light lit up on both. So could it be bad bulb on both button? Thanks!

There are bulbs for both of those lights. Have him pull the controls for the bluetooth off of the steering wheel, as well as the seat heater switches and then replace those bulbs. good as new.

for how to do those things, run a search. theres plenty of info on here.

my driver heated seat light didnt work for like 2 years after about a year or 2 of working. it came back on this year and i really hope me telling you this wont jinx it in to not working again!!!!! seems like a normal problem though. i have heard of those and the steering wheel lights going out all the time. my fix would be to not look at it and hope it fixes itself

The TSB for the HFL unit has nothing to do w/ the lights being out.

Also, if something is supposed to be lit in the car and isn't, bothers the hell out of me... but I'm particular about that kind of thing.

im gonna bet the bluetooth module is going out. reason i say that is cuz mine went out too. my bluetooth doesnt work if you scroll to the bluetooth menu on the dash, if it constantly stays at "booting up" then its definitely the bluetooth module that died. a new module is about $200.

Also, if it is the bluetooth module that craped out make sure he either replaces it soon or unplugs it, because if he doesn't the battery will constantly drain.

^ Yes.

Also, I misread and thought that the light was out on the 'bluetooth button'. My bad.. the HFL unit is in the overhead console up where the sunroof switch is. A new unit is like 180 bucks but I had luck finding a used one for $40 and it's lasted a while. Besides, now that I've figured out how to rebuild the units, I won't have to worry about spending that money again.

Please do share, mine has been out for a while now. I really don't wanna kick out $180-$200 for something that i barely use.
