I own a 06 blk/blk, I understand hondas black paint contains the blue metallic, but whats the purposes behind the blue color? I get irritated when the sun shines on my car and others say its mid night blue.

 

I have a '95 Honda, Blk/Blk, the black paint has metallic specks of gold. It irritates me as well.

 

When I was shopping for a TL, I stopped by a dealer at night to check out the different colors available and spotted one and concluded it was blue, looked at the sticker and it was black. I was like WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTT, this sticker must be wrong! haha

 

Its not the sticker thats wrong, same had happened to me while I was at a dealership during the after hours, the light that had hit the car sparkled the blue metallic and gave a navy blue look but the car was nighthawk black.

 

Oh I know the sticker wasnt wrong, that was just my first reaction to seeing it after having looked at the car. Once you look at it from afar , u can tell its black although the 04/05 blue is so dark it often looks black at night anyway. Anyone have pics of the new 06 blue? Was wondering if this is going to be closer to the type s blue on the older TLs and CLs.

 

Yea, I heard a new red is out too, from the looks of the color on the pic. on the acura site, its looks more of a bright red, I dont know about the blue.
