Blew fuse, Keyless Entry not working right anymore
Having an issue I can't find any posts about. Please help if you can.
I completely removed the stock radio, amp and speakers in my 2008 TL Type S with Navi. Replaced radio, amp and speakers with after market. Not using existing wiring. Ran all new wire.
While replacing front speakers this happened:
1. Took front door panels off to replace speakers. Forgot to disconnect battery.
2. Installed door panels and everything worked fine except for interior lights and Keyless Entry, memory and windows.
3. Found that I had blown a 7.5 Amp fuse in Inside fuse box. Something labeled "Back Up".
4. Replaced fuse and all lights and windows now working correctly. Keyless Entry and memory still jacked up. Key fob remote will not lock/unlock doors or open trunk.
5. I have "switchblade" keys.
6. When I put key in ignition and turn to ACC then remove the key, the key fob remote will work the locks and trunk correctly, arm/disarm alarm, memory appears to work again.
7. After about 30 seconds key fob remote stops working.
8. If I repeat #7 the key fob works for about 30 seconds again.
I Reset the Keyless Entry settngs to defaults. Didn't fix it.
I reprogrammed both keys (using turn on, press button, turn off X 3 method). Didn't fix it.
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for here. Is this a Keyless Entry issue? A Door Actuator issue? Another fuse somewhere? Something having to do with removing the stock radio? An electrical issue?
Any guidance is appriciated. Thank you.

Hi, I know this post is probably dead by now but I'm hoping you got this issue resolved (?), the same thing happened to me while I was swapping my door lights with LEDs-my guess is that I shorted something and blew a fuse because the interior dome lights, keyless fob, and side marker lights are not working (although the windows have power). Thank you

I think the issue may be related to the internal Fuse Box. I am going to replace the Internal Fuse box and see if that corrects the issue. Just been waiting for it to cool down.
