black shoe marks on outside below front doors

I have black/grayish marks on the outside of the car on the panel below the driver side and passenger front door. I think the marks are caused from shoes sliding across the panel as I and passengers get into the car. I can't seem to get the marks off. Any suggestions?

Usually it's easy to take them off when the car is waxed.
I think you could use something like ''bug and tar remover'', or use a cleaner wax

hm, i would think twice and be careful about using that, as i think it is an abrasive (even if you can't see it, it's causing some microscratches that will come out in the long run).

those marks are easily removed by a clay bar. try picking up "clay magic" at your local auto store, not too expensive and easy to use. plus it will make your car feel like... butter

Yep, do the clay thing.

I also had installed, when I purchased the car, clear bra material at each sill and trunk as well.

was the clear bra material precut for the door sills and trunk? i didn't know acura had that for the TL. the dealer threw in a clear trunk lip protector for my uncle's new 07 camry. i was hoping acura made the same thing since the door sills and trunk is so easily scratched. please let me know where you got the material. thanks.

Wax usually removes most things that aren't actually into the paint.

I noticed the same thing on the driver and passenger side sideskirts when I first got mine from the dealership. A couple of rubs with a claybar took it off

I get the same marks.........just like the ones on the linoleum floor in my bathroom. I've always just rubbed lightly with my hand to roll them off. I've never had to use any products to get it off, but I keep my vehicle waxy.
