Big Vibration in the steering wheel?
I was racing my friend the other day and we ended up doing like 120 and when i put i the brakes i had a really bad vibration in the steering wheel. This has happened to me more then once at high speeds. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my car?
Something similar happened to me when I got the brakes too hot on a pickup I used to have. You might have overheated the brakes, causing the rotors to warp. They'll get better when they cool, but the brakes will still pulsate after they cool.
You need to get the rotors (at least the fronts) turned.

Warped rotors. Replace pads and rotors or replace pads and have current rotors resurfaced. Replacing/resurfacing the rotors without changing the pads MAY lead to premature pad failure or case the rotor warpage to quickly reappear.
Your rotors are slightly warped, and when they are slightly warped, they will only cause a noticeable pulsation in the steering wheel at very high speeds and very very minor pulsations at normal speeds, to the point where you might not even notice it. If the steering doesn't pulsate from braking at normal driving speeds, I'd say between 70 and 85 I wouldn't change your rotors or touch them, because to get 100% warp free rotors is just a task that is next to impossible. Plus you gotta consider the stock size of your rotors aren't really designed to handle that type of braking speeds, I would speculate upgrading to a BBK would resolve this issue a whole lot.
