"bed" brakes if not new?

For the last month or so I've noticed the brakes squeak (I think the front) when I am going really slow and turning to the right- like when I pull into a parking space or some similar situation.

My question- can I "bed" the brakes using the 60-to-10mph procedures posted on here even though the brakes are not new (9k miles on car)? I never did this when the car was brand new.

I'm wondering if this will get rid of the problem- or make it worse.
