Battery tray and starter.
I haven’t posted in a while, things have been good, but two weeks ago I had to replace the starter.
Who ever designed the battery tray to bolt like it is should be tortured. By the time I got the lower bolt closer to the firewall off, I had a bruised partially scorched forearm.
To top it off, who knew the starter for a manual was different than an automatic, so after a second trip to a different part store to get a starter for a manual, I put everything back together.
Wouldnt you know it, as it always happens, there was a bolt leftover. Anyone want to guess where it was supposed to go?
This time there was a leftover on purpose.

I've never had any issue with the battery tray bolts, but I have the OEM air resonator removed. And you must have big hands. If you have a 10mm small bolt left, then it's the one that anchors the positive battery cable to the battery tray.
