Battery Drain.

2008 TL on 3rd new battery. Drain occurs if it sits more than 24 hours. After that, it's completely dead. I did an extensive search which led to possible Bluetooth causing the drain. However, I have removed it completely and the battery drain still occurs. I have owned this car for about 3 years now, and never had an issue y til about 4 months ago. I have to keep the cat on the battery charger if it sits longer that a day. I have taken it to a local shop who tested the battery/alternator. They advised that everything is fine. Took it to another shop and they told me the same thing. Any ideas? Am I missing something?

Did the shop test the drain at the fuse blocks?

Do you have any aftermarket audio, alarm, remote start or iSimple?
If yes, start with those.

A/C or other relays going bad can cause a drain as well.

Nothing aftermarket installed. Both shops said they couldn't find anything that would cause the draw.

How do you know there is a drain on the battery, as opposed to having a dying starter or bad ignition switch?

If the shop(s) checked for a draw at the fuse blocks (not at the battery or alternator), they should be able to detect and isolate whatever is causing the draw.

Otherwise, you may have a defective battery with a dead cell.

Yeah I'm not sure how or what they exactly checked. I know the battery isn't bad since I'm on my 3rd one in 4 months. That what both shops (including) Acura kept telling was the issue.

I have heard of at least two people who mistakenly disconnected the sunroof/courtesy light module, thinking it was the HFL module.
